Staycation day 1

I planned to do this while Steven was gone to Rochester at the beginning of August, but the two days I planned to do it ended up having schedule conflicts so we didn't.

I heard about a Connect Pass you can buy at the SLC Visitor's Information Bureau that gives you free admission to different attractions in and around SLC. Right now they are running a "buy one day, get one free day" special so we decided to take advantage of that and have a little fun before school starts on Monday.

We drove to the City Library in downtown SLC to park, then took TRAX to Visitor's Information to buy the passes. Then we walked over to the Lion House Pantry restaurant for lunch. Yummy! Then Christie and Jordan wanted to take the tour of the Beehive House so we did that, then they wanted to see the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, so we did that. We ended our day at the Discovery Gateway Children's Museum, then took TRAX back to the City Library and the van.

Sorry, I don't have any pictures to share. I did have my camera, but the batteries were dead, and I didn't have any spares with me. It was nice to not be constantly thinking about taking pictures and to just let the kids do their thing.

Tomorrow (Saturday) we'll go to the Living Planet Aquarium, Snowbird to ride the Alpine Slide, Park City to see the Olympic Park, This is the Place monument and Pioneer Village, and then tomorrow evening we'll go to Raging Waters water park.
