Taylorsville's city celebration was held the last weekend of June. We went to check it out and see what it was all about. There's a vendor area where you can buy all different kinds of food and all sorts of businesses have booths. There's an area set up with different rides. We bought C&J tickets so they could go on some of the rides.
Christie and Jordan on the rides
Alex hanging out in the stroller. Notice his left leg is propped up--he ALWAYS sits like that in the stroller or the high chair.
Steven, Christie and Jordan eating snow cones.
Colorful tongues after finishing the snow cones.
[cherries]
I heard about a pick-your-own farm near Payson that had cherries for .65/lb so I went down one day and picked 25 lbs of cherries. I got 16 quarts. Would have been 17 but I dropped the last jar! Glass jar meets tile floor = one big mess to clean up!
I think cherries are one of the easier fruits to can--all you have to do is sort through them, pull off the stems, and can.
