In no particular order of time or importance...

[mom and dad allen are home!]

Mom and Dad arrived home from their mission on Wednesday, July 22, 2009. The children and I met them at the airport; along with my siblings and their families; and my dad's brother and sister and their spouses. We were so excited to see them! We took pictures at the airport then went to California Pizza Kitchen in Gateway for a late lunch. My brothers then drove Mom and Dad home.

The babies born while Mom and Dad were gone. Thanks to the Internet and having a blog, my sister and I have been able to post pictures and tell Mom and Dad about our babies. So today was the first time they actually met Alex and Stella and were able to hold them. But they still knew what they looked like and what they've been doing.



The Welcome Home signs we made. C&J made their own, I made one for Alex. All the grandchildren made Welcome Home signs.



With Mom and Dad. Steven was unable to be with us because he was attending a Network+ class he was required to take for work.



[pinewood derby]

The last Cub Scout activity before the summer break was the Pinewood Derby! I have lots of memories of going to Pinewood Derbies for my brothers when we were growing up and I have to admit that was one thing I was looking forward to with Jordan.
