welcome, spring!

[ hello, spring! ]

Well the weather has been delightfully warm and sunny lately. All our snow is melted and we can see just how much yard work there is to do! Leaves to rake up, branches to pick up, garden area to get ready, flowers to plant. The flower beds in front of the house have bulbs popping up.

[ little scholars ]

We had parent teacher conferences last Tuesday. Both Christie and Jordan are doing very well. Christie is reading at a middle-4th grade level, Jordan is at beginning 2nd grade level. Christie is more than halfway through memorizing her times tables. Jordan is doing addition and a little subtraction. They are doing well in other subjects as well and we are very proud of them.

[ house projects ]

After numerous delays for one reason or another, we have finally gotten started on a house project. We're painting Christie's bedroom. The walls and ceiling are a light, sky blue and the chair rails will be a darker blue. The bed and book case will be pink. We've got the first coat on and will do the second coat this week.

That's all I can think of. Not much has been happening lately.

I've been asked to sign the music for General Conference again. I am assigned to the Sunday afternoon session. Look forward to doing that again.
