A BOY!
I was really surprised because I had just about convinced myself that we were going to have a girl, because I wanted another girl! I have two boys already and I wanted to even things out. I knew there was a chance the baby would be a boy, so I'm not disappointed—just really surprised!
I go back in a month for another ultrasound to double check that the placenta is not covering the cervix and to check the spine. The baby wasn't in a position that allowed the doctor to see the spine well. She measured the head, and all measurements looked good, as well as the brain, so she doesn't think there's any risk of spina bifida but she couldn’t say that for sure. Thus the second ultrasound.
After the appointment, we went over to Sorenson so Steven could take care of some business related to his move (he is moving to a different part of the building) then we went to buy a little gift for Christie and Jordan to open that would tell them what we were having. Originally they were going to come with us because I thought there was no school today (the calendar said no school) but then we got a note from school that said there had been a mistake on the calendar and so school would be held. So Steven and I decided to get a gift that would tell them. The picture above is the outfit we got and will bring our baby home in.
We are thrilled that our baby looks healthy and strong and we are excited to meet him in a few more months!

Congrats! Three boys -you will really have your hands full now! Love you, kyra & mike
Yay!! Boys FTW!!
I shard the gender news the same way when I was pregnant with Nicky. Anthony took all the fun out of it by insisting from the begining he was getting a brother and there wasn't any other possibility. Congrats to your family and their baby brother!
Congratulations. That's fun to know what you're having. I'm glad you were able to make a fun day of it together! Thanks for keeping us all posted. Love you!
YAY!
